2001 Toyota Tundra Ignition Switch Removal

2001 toyota tundra ignition switch removal. Genuine Unistrut P2750-EG 4 Wheel Light Duty Trolley Assembly for use with P1000 P1001 P5000 P5001 P5500 P5501 and All 1-58 or Taller Strut Channel. I bought one for 17 used at the Pick-n-Pull. When I got ready to leave the Fed Ex place I had parked at the key would not turn in the ignition.

Peel back flap over the ignition and pull the bezel straight toward the backside of wheel. Put a piece of tape over it as a silencer that way you dont accidentally cut the wrong wire or disable a key function. I am having intermitted.

T he ignition on my 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD locked up after I parked with the left front wheel pushed against a curb vehicle at 40 degree angle to the curb. A 3rd Gen 4Runner ignition switch and cylinder works the same. Align the locking cam with the hole in the ignition switch and insert the switch into the lock housing.

I can get the new ignition i just dont know how to remove the old one please help someone. The Tundras ignition lock cylinder itself can go bad over time. Slide the cylinder into the lock housing until the stop tab engages the hole in the lock.
