Toyota is no stranger to frame rust issues as it has also extended the rust warranty of 1995-2000 Tacoma trucks and has even offered to buy back the trucks in 20 cold weather states at 15 times. Toyota has told me that Im out of luck. After notification from Toyota about frame rusting problem an inspection was done by Toyota dealer in 2011 and I was told the frame was fine.

No recall has been issued by Toyota and the dealer denies having heard of such problems yet there are growing hordes of on-line testimonies from other Toyota Tundra owners with the same. The recall was over for this truck and the toyota dealer only sprayed it dow. This is tyhe same frame as the Tundra that has been recalled by Toyota due to numerous issues.
