I plan on switching mine to 5W20 for the summer especially since Ill be towing. 2008 Toyota Corolla LE 5-speed. But Toyota probably doesnt want to confuse people and figure people in using the cheapest 5w20.
So you may be wondering how they differ. In your manual it also says conventional can he used. 0W20 is fine for the winter months but in the heat of summer 5W20 will be fine.

I agree that you should call the dealer out on it and even if the claim the repair order for the oil change states 5w30 is a mistake too bad have them change the oil out again and make dang sure they use 5w20 oil. If your winter temperature is not cold you can use 5w20 synthetic for 10000 miles or 5w20 conventional for 5000. Switching to 5W20 shouldnt hurt your mileage in any way that you would notice. Theres a thread about it.
